Novus Hortus Ltd. was established in 1998 with the aim to produce and market products – intermediate and final – for the food, cosmetic and health sectors, using processes strictly natural.
The company collaborates with technology partners and actively participates in all phases of basic research and applied research, development and testing of the product and the marketing and technical support of the same.
A team of professionals and experts is involved in the production and marketing of products. The research laboratory is located in L’Aquila, the production site in Florence and the marketing branch in Genoa.
Hortus Novus has an international network of collaborations aimed both the acquisition of products and semi-finished products for the European market that the distribution and sale of products and technologies for markets outside Europe.
It has also developed expertise in the field of food and products of plant origin chemistry, for the analysis of raw materials, to search for new products, on saffron (crocus Nativus), which presents interesting properties not only from the point of view of food and cosmetics but also as an antioxidant and neuroprotective.
The collaboration with the University has allowed the company to achieve scientific and useful for the prevention of neurodegenerative diseases, some of which have been the subject of patents protected at the international level.
